SmartMiles® helps low-mileage drivers save
Give low-mileage customers a way to save with the SmartMiles pay-per-mile program.
How SmartMiles® works
Customers get traditional Nationwide® auto coverage but with a flexible monthly premium that’s based on mileage. The premium consists of 2 parts: a base premium that stays the same every month and a variable premium that changes every month based on mileage.
What customers get with SmartMiles
- Road trip exception: Only the first 250 miles count on a single day
- Convenient data collection: Mileage is collected with a small device or connected car
- Online access: Customers can see their mileage and monthly payment through an online portal and monthly email updates
