Nationwide proudly supports agriculture education through active, generous sponsorships of national and local agricultural organizations that serve the agriculture community.

Golden Owl Award®

Nationwide partnered with state FFA organizations to create the Golden Owl Award in 2018 to highlight the growing importance of educators and recognize the services of many of the country’s leading agricultural teachers. The American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) program was created for young adults ages 18-35. The objective of this program is to provide leadership in building a more effective Farm Bureau to preserve individual freedoms and expand opportunities in agriculture.

Nationwide is a proud sponsor of FUSION, an annual conference that brings together more than 1,500 Farm Bureau volunteer leaders from across the country from Promotion & Education, Women’s Leadership and Young Farmers & Ranchers programs. These members represent the current and next generation of Farm Bureau leaders. During the conference, members hear from motivational speakers, network with members and industry leaders and gain new information and skills through breakout sessions.

National Education Center for Agricultural Safety

The National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing illnesses, injuries and deaths among farmers and ranchers, agricultural and horticultural workers, their families and their employees.

Each year, as part of Grain Bin safety Week, Nationwide collaborates with NECAS to provide grain bin safety & rescue training. NECAS instructors travel to training locations with state-of-the-art grain entrapment simulators and rescue tubes. The comprehensive training sessions include classroom education and rescue simulations using the entrapment tools, which are loaded onto 20-foot trailers and able to hold about 100 bushels of grain each.
