The need is great
United Way connects people, organizations, expertise and resources to improve people’s lives and create lasting change in our communities. By focusing on education, income and health — the building blocks of a good life — United Way mobilizes the power of caring to advance the common good.
Our giving history
We’re proud to say that our associates have been giving back to their communities since our first workplace campaign in 1951. The Nationwide Foundation began matching their contributions dollar for dollar in 1960. Every year, Nationwide associates participate in our Community Giving Campaign, benefiting thousands of nonprofits across the country. Last year, our associates, contributed more than $7 million through our campaign.
More ways we partner
Nationwide executives serve on United Way boards across the country. Our senior leaders serve as campaign chairs, and many of our associates volunteer in United Way community projects.
