You can enroll directly from the nationwide.com/REALtirement page. Select the Enroll in my plan button at the top of the homepage. You’ll be asked to sign up for online access and you will need to create your username and password. After logging in, you’ll be prompted with the steps to enroll.
If you’re a newly eligible employee who hasn’t enrolled in the plan, you’ll select the Enroll in my plan button at the top of the homepage to set up your account access and enroll at the same time.
If you’re already in the plan, you’ll click sign up. If you already have an online account, simply select log into your account or log in.
You may have to wait up to 24 hours after setting up your online account to go in and access your account.
You can change your contribution rate by logging in to your account and selecting Manage Contributions from the quick links. You can also conveniently manage your contributions from our REALtirement Mobile App. Learn more about our mobile app.
After logging in, you can access the beneficiaries screen by selecting Manage Beneficiaries under Quick Links. Once there, you can add both primary or contingent beneficiaries.
If you’re married, you are required to name your spouse as your primary beneficiary unless the spousal consent form has been completed. Beneficiary names have a 35-character limit, and you’ll need their Social Security number to complete the task.

Plan contribution limits are set by the IRS and are typically adjusted each calendar year. Review current or historical contribution limits here.
You can update your personal information, alert preferences and eDelivery preferences by logging in to your account and selecting Profile at the top of the homepage.

Register for one of our live webinars or visit our financial wellness center, where you can receive personalized content and tools related to your retirement objectives. Access financial wellness by logging in to your account and selecting the Financial Wellness tab.
You can access your statements through your online account. After you log in, select My Account at the top of the page then Statements & Account Activity. You’ll see statements on the side tab at right.
You can update your username or password after login. Select Profile at the top then scroll to the bottom and click on the Need to change your username or password? prompt.
After logging in, navigate to the Quick Links section and select Manage Investment Portfolio. From there, click on Change Investments at the top right side of the page.
